As the third year of Covid-19 pandemic that has affected our whole life profoundly is about to be over, Turkish Thoracic Society (TTS) has started the arrangements for the 26th Annual Congress that we hope to organize face-to-face.
We are very excited that the 26th TTS Annual Congress will take place at the Centenary of the Republic of Turkey in 2023. We will organize this new congress in the light of science, in unity and solidarity in a way that our century old Republic deserves, while the motto will be “One Breath at the Centenary of the Republic”.
Ataturk whose masterpiece was the Republic of Turkey addressed teachers at Samsun İstiklâl Trade School on the 22 September 1924 and said: “Science is the most genuine guide for everything in the world, for wealth, for the soul, for life, for success; seeking for another guide apart from science is negligence, ignorance and perversion”. In the light of Turkish Thoracic Society’s mission based on research, education, preventive medicine and quality patient service delivery, as the Turkish Thoracic Society family we are looking forward to meeting you in person at our congress to be organized in compliance with the code of conduct without compromising science and evidence-based medicine as we always do in every congress we organize.
The academically satisfying scientific program of the congress will bring practical solutions to clinical practices and will allow our colleagues to develop themselves in every field of pulmonology, improve their knowledge and experience, follow recent developments, find solutions to the challenges they face in their daily practice. Contrary to the previous congresses, in this congress there will be fewer courses which will be all hands-on given the economic circumstances in Turkey while the number of parallel sessions will be reduced. In this way, we will have the opportunity to have more compact, well-coordinated and more efficient meetings. At the congress, in addition to this scientific feast, there will also be a social program for fellow colleagues at all ages and levels of seniority to spend good time together and meet in person after a long time.
The congress will be held on 09-13 May 2023 at Pine Beach Hotel (Belek / Antalya). We are also very happy to inform you that the Convention Center of the Hotel has been recently renovated, giving us a totally new setting. In the light of our Society’s principles such as “evidence-based medicine, knowledge, experience, exchange”, we’d like to assure you that we will do our best to develop a proper scientific program that the Centenary of the Republic deserves. You are kindly invited to the 26th Annual Congress of the Turkish Thoracic Society.
